GENERAL

Rei (She/Her) The First Executor Encountered in the Limbo Underside. Rei rescued the player characters from a rampaging Revenant and once all were safe, offered them the opportunity to become Executors. She is, in theory, the "leader" of the Executors as the most experienced of the group and the only one who can create new Executors. In practice, she's more like everyone's slightly exasperated upperclassman, even though she's like... fourteen. She protecc, she attacc but most importantly, she eat potato snacc.

INVIDIA

Esme (She/Her) Sinner of Envy The Sinner of Envy, who controlled the Envy layer of Purgatory. She is the sparkling jewel of Invidia and the subject of everyone’s envy, which is just how she likes it. A spoiled brat through and through who can’t stand it when she’s outdone or upstaged. In life, she was the younger sister of a celebrity and was always consumed with envy over the praise and attention they received. She drove a wedge into their relationship and worked herself to death trying to imitate her success. In Invidia, she clawed her way to her position of power through backstabbing, lies and murder. She was overthrown from her position of power by the combined effort of the Executors and the people she had tried to crush under her heel. Unable to cope with the idea of anyone becoming more beloved than her, she became the Aberrant Beelzebub of Envy and was destroyed by the Executors. Kotori (She/Her) An ex-idol who was once one of Invidia's most beloved celebrities. She was well on her way to becoming the most enviable woman in all of Invidia through nothing but her own talent, charisma and hard work. She was betrayed and killed by Esme and unwillingly became the Revenant Volucris. She was kept caged in the Invidia Underside until she was freed by the Executors who were forced to destroy her in self-defense when she attacked them. Freed from Esme's control, she can now restart her long journey through Purgatory. Alice (She/Her) An ex-idol and ex-friend of Esme's who narrowly escaped being the target of her wrath. The trauma of seeing one of her dearest friends killed before her eyes caused her to regress into a Specter who had no memory of her previous self or the incident that had occurred. The Executors were able to trigger a recollection and she teamed up with them to remove Esme from her position of power in Invidia. With Esme gone, she's begun to put in the hard work of becoming a performer again in a duo act with her girlfriend. ??? (She/Her) A happy-go-lucky girl who was a fan of Alice and Kotori before they were betrayed by Esme. She was one of the few Specters in Invidia who still remembered Alice and was able to guide the Executors to find her. Now that Esme is gone and Alice is safe, the two of them have begun dating and tentatively formed an idol duo to begin performing again. Lapis (They/Them) Esme's sibling. Never encountered in Purgatory, but an important part of her story nonetheless. They were a beloved and famous celebrity in life but their success caused Esme to seethe in resentment and eventually burn all bridges between the two of them. Even in death, Esme couldn't find a way out of their shadow.

AVARITIA

Greta (She/Her) Sinner of Greed The Sinner of Greed, who enjoys her afterlife controlling the Greed layer of Purgatory. Though she initially seems to be friendly and kind, she’s a cut-throat tyrant who will never give up her Authority over Greed, or even acknowledge the possibility of losing it in the first place. She chased the thrill of gambling in life but did so dishonestly, lying and cheating her way to victory and stealing money out from under people's noses. She was killed when she became overly confident and stole a victory from the wrong sort of people, repaying the slight with her life. When she arrived in Avaritia, her overwhelming greed allowed her to steal the Authority from its then-ruler, a gambler known as 'Lady Luck' along with the biggest payout the casino had ever dished out. She spent her time gambling and outright stealing money from the other Specters of Avaritia to ensure her position was never challenged, and for a time it worked. She was eventually outsmarted and outplayed by the Executors in a complex plan to steal her Authority. When she realized she had been tricked, she became Mammon of Greed but the Executors slayed her before she could reclaim her wealth. "Miss Fortune" (She/Her) The previous Authority of Avaritia. She was not fully cognizant of her death or aware of her place in Purgatory, but she had managed to become the Authority of Avaritia wielded her power unconsciously. It manifested as giving her incredible luck with every gamble and she was known to have never lost a game. That all changed when Greta managed a miraculous win over her and while she didn't understand what had happened, she knew Greta had stolen something from her and resented it. The Executors encountered her while she worked as an actress playing the role of phantom thief at the local theater. When the Executors posed as thieves as well and announced they would be raiding the vault said to hold all of Greta's wealth. She joined them in the bank heist and guided them to the correct vault but betrayed them at the last second in an attempt to claim its supposed riches for herself. She died after refusing to try and escape once the security system was tripped. Even in her last moments, all she could think of was her sin.
